What a great fucking set list! I know, right?! Plus, a cover by #Lit?! Little did, I know how amazing this show would be. This was my first and only show at the #SaltPalace. It was pretty lame how it was set up, I'll get that to that later.
I am going to this concert with my buddy #Brenton. It was one of my first shows in #Utah, his as well, I think. We arrive at the show, as we are walking there, I am admiring the architecture of the building. I remember we arrived at the check in and we had to walk, I mean we #Walked, which seemed like forever, only because, oh it fucking was.
My #HipReplacement is starting to hurt. Oh yeah, I have had a few of those, remember. I think this was actually right before my #ThirdOne. We are taking breaks, luckily they had the seats #SporadicallyPlaced. I get up and start to move.
Wait?! What? Is That #ManchesterOrchestra? Already going on?! What the hell?! We were not even half way through. I try and speed walk as fast as I can. #Brenton, being the awesome person he is. Puts me on his back and he starts to run. We can see the door! We come to find out, some fucking idiot put the concert in #THEFarthestCorner, but #Failed to have THE #Entrance right, fucking, there open. Needless to say, we got our #PreWorkout before the show. We hurry and grab a #BottleWater #DownIt.
No, that can't be real. Is that a spot up there on #StageRight? Yeah, dude. I think it is Brenton says. We go up. Its right by the #FrontGuardRail. Blessed again by the #MusicalGods! We rock out, to #Manchester for a little bit, and then #JesseLacey comes out and does a #PreciousDuet with #AndyHull
We are talking and this cool girl who was also an #AwesomeFan comes up to us. She was in a wheelchair because she was injured in a horrible accident. So what did we do, we #VowedToProtectedHer #ThatWeDid.

Hearing and seeing #WelcomeToBangkok are two entirely different experiences. I remember hearing the beginning of it and being like, #OhShit #ItsAboutToGoDown and it Did. This instrumental song is so damn clean! Meaning, if you took any part of it out, it would #DestroyTheSong. The #Progression #EerieNess of it its very #Captivating.
I am #Fanboying there, just #Waiting #Anticipating the drop of this song. #ItJustGaveMeTheChillsWritingIt. The lights become dimmer and dimmer. Its starting, its almost there, and then it #Ahhhhh. I glance back behind me, and see the #ChaosUnfolding. Its a #PassionateSightToSee. Wait. What is this? This is new, as it sinks in that they are #Improvising #Extended the song for about another #TwoMinutes! #DamnWishiWouldHaveRecordedThatSomehow. I believe, I took a lot of everything in on that song. I am glad I did, because I have not heard that song at any of the other concerts I have attended.
Hold Up?! Is that? No it can't be, can it? Yes they are doing a cover of #Lit! One of my favorite songs, really, though it was everyones. It was another song that I wish I would have recorded, because I think they just did that song a few times on that tour. I think they have one girl on #Youtube that as, just the beginning riff of that song #MyOwnWorstEnemy.
Hahaha, so #RealTime talk here, I just remembered thanks to #FB that my buddy #Brenton hit someone on a #Bicycle. Yeah, he died. We just left, lol. No, basically it was not anything horrible, because the #Cyclist survived. We were turning #Right onto I believe #200S downtown and he was looking left, and totally did not see that guy crossing on the right! I was like #DUDE! He tapped him and he fell over and #Brenton and I rushed out to make sure he was okay. He was, luckily, because it could have been worse.

Before the show, was announced. #hahah #ItWasTheTalkOfTheWholeState! Well #ForAllTheCoolPeople, my newsfeed #FuckingFLOODED. The Facebook Event Page was #Blowing up with people asking tons of questions #Who #What #When #Where #AREYOUFUCKINGSERIOUS, you know the normal things any lover of this band would say, #MyselfIncluded #iThinkiSaidTheFuckingOne :)
Being #Unemployed at the time and also having a love for #Music. I was usually designated to obtain all the info and updates, as well as obtaining the tickets. Which meant. Waking up a half an hour early before the sale, and refreshing the hell out of that ticket website for one minute straight before the tickets went on sale. You always magically hoped a glitch or some shit would happen and you would get #FirstDibs.
We heard that if you were apart of the MUSS which is a student #StudentItWasFree? With a #PlusONE #WTF?! Needless to say, I got the tickets. That night did not start out #Awesome. My friends and I had some trouble getting there, too many slow ass people! #UtahComeOn. It was packed! Everybody who was anybody was there. I mean come on #itsFuckingBr&New! Our friend Kenny made it there early, got inside because some generous soul gave him a ticket. We all finally meet up, we get to a decent spot, up on a little hill on stage right with a tree on the left side.
Second Song, #Archers starts and I say #WhoseGotTheHerb as I can smell it. You know you get to that point where your like a #Canine #SniffingItOut #iTakeSemiPrideInThat. Well, these nice college kids right by me, well two kids away had it. They heard me, then gave me that look, and offered. I, then took a hit and then offered it to my buddies. Some knew I smoked and others well they sure fucking found out then huh. They just looked at me and laughed, out of not knowing what to say or think, eh #IDGAF, I was seeing my favorite band.
I began to then pass it back around, and he lights up another one and was like dude, #KeepThat! #GlllloorrriiioouusssAchievementUnlocked. From then on... man, what was already an awesome show was now even #MoreAwesome. I love being at concerts #Lit #iTSeriouslyMakesMusicBetter in the way that your #Senses are #Heightened and for me, I feel, you understand it a lot better, #GetUpOnMyLevel. #SurrealExperience that night. Things I would have never ever thought of if I had #NotBeenLit.

This concert was, well an interesting one. I had just moved from home which was #KansasCityMissouri to #DenverArea to go to college for #VideoGameDesign. Cool at the time, very Very #Costly in the end. However, quite quick, I learned how awesome the #DenverScene was for #concerts!
I was going crazy looking up and seeing how many concerts were coming around me. I remember, one time I was going to I think 5 concerts in one month! That was a hard month to convince my bosses #iHadTwoJobsBackThen #Bestbuy #WestwoodCafe, to let me off work for these concerts. Lots of #SwitchShifts #PayingCoWorkersOff you know that #DevinCharm. #FactCheckingMyself, I had gone to 19 concerts in 1 year, and one month was 7 concerts within the end of February to the end of March of 2007. All but, #OneBandTwoNightsInARow, I went to #AllByMyself #GangsterShitIKnow
However, this was the main one I was most excited for! I was new to that particular area of Denver, and to make matters even worse #iCouldNotFindAParkingSpot, where, I would have been NOT been #Towed. As I am driving in my #SilverOhSixMustangConvertible #WithMyBr&NewDashMix. Its a light rain slash drizzle. Rain started to pick up, it was super #Humid though. Windows are fogging up. Using my sleeve to wipe the windows. #DefrostWasNotHelping. So, I rolled down the window and that helped.
#ItFeltLikeHome, for the first time. Let me tell you one thing, there is nothing like listening to your favorite bands while its raining and you can hear the #Droplets on your #Softtop. I remember it being awfully warm for being in #October, because I was wearing shorts and a #SensesFailBaseballTee.
As I am walking which was about twenty or more blocks from the arena. It was #FarAsHell. I run into these guys and they ask, “Hey man are you going to the fucking brand new show?” as I replied, “Fuck yeah, I am!”. Then they handed me this drink in a #GatoradeBottle, but it wasn't Gatorade! It was dark and an amber color. Ok mind you, I was not familiar with a lot of #HardLiquor at that point in my life, but #iTChangedQuicklyThatNight.
In hindsight I probably should have not drank that from #TwoCompleteStrangers, but I felt I did not need to worry, because there is a certain trust amongst concert goers and especially fans of #Br&New, #idk #iGuessThatsJustMe.
Their like take like a big gulp. So I did, and man I was like this takes me back to when I was #Ten #ItsFifthGradeAllOverAgain and thats a different story. A freaking #Initiation by my friends.
Well, It was #Whiskey. My little #IndianBellyWasNotPrepared. Anyways, I did it. They kept it going back and forth. I was doing #BabySips. Well needless to say University of Denver, homies didn't fuck around, they told me to drink the rest. #VeryBadHorribleIdea #IveMadeAHugeMistake!
There I am, a lone #IndianWolf, trekking up to the entrance. #EveryoneKnows, not because I was thinking that. But, because, I am fucking trashed! I kept thinking I can't go into a college area smelling like whiskey. The event staff will know. I tried to play it cool, after I stumble up to get my #TicketTorn, but then oh shit man, #Stairs! Fucking stairs! #AreYouSerious it was exactly like a #HIMYM #MarshalSyndrome, but unlike Marshal I actually had a few flights, which seemed #NeverEnding #MovingAllAround #SlipperyWhenWet.
I get to the front and #iCannotStand anymore. #ItsAllComingBackToMeNow. So, casually make my way back down, probably four stairs and I sit by the entrance to gain my #Composure. Yeah, I know, not an ideal place to sit. #DontMindMeWhoooBr&NewBitches as I yelped.
I'm sitting . . . #ContemplatingMyLifeChoicesAsOfTwentyMinutesAgo. #iHaveToSeeThem. I finally get a burst of energy. I am up to the first leveled out area, from the first flight of stairs and I stumble back and luckily catch myself on the rail, or I would have been #GoneForSure, as in #KickedOut, as my brown drunk as hell ass would have tumbled backwards, right into the staff and people coming up.
Praise Jesus, I get to my seat, which I #SlipittySlidedDown to. I was about 40 mins early. I am there all alone in my #RowThreeSeatThree. I must have passed out for a little bit, because this fucker woke me up from my #HibernationOfInebriation.

I learned that night that my body is very interesting besides health wise, but #Hangover and #Drinking wise as well. I found out if sleep for 15 to 30 minutes, my body somehow like detoxes me and I am as #StrongIfNotStronger the next go around. It pretty fucking bad ass, I must say. #HugePlus too, I rarely get #HorribleHangovers #ItsAhhAhAwesome.
He taps me on the shoulder, and is like, “Dude, I think you're in my seat and I'm like NO, Im not. #DrunkStyle. So, he asks to see my ticket and then #Dumbass realizes it is the row behind me! I was pissed because I had #JustStartedMyHibernation. They eventually came down to my row in the middle of the show, because I was seriously like the only one in 10 seats each way. Yes, I usually get GA but it #SoldOut quick, but hey at least I got a close seat.
The opening band, I was basically passed out, I had no idea who it was and I could have cared less.
#YadaYada #Br&New finally came on! They had a new album coming out #TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe release date of November 20th, 2006. #CountEmSixDaysB4MyBday. Lead singer, #JesseLacey then says, “ Hey you guys want to hear a new song off our upcoming album?” #CrowdScreams #SowingSeasonIntitated
I remember, I was just standing there, taking everything in. #Lyrics #TheProgression then #YEAH! Everybody lost their shit! I literally did, I fell over the second row, and wanted to #RushThatGA as my adrenaline was at an all new #Br&NewLevel! I probably should have. #ImNotYourFriendImNotYourLoverImNotYourFamilyYeah! I was beyond stoked for their new album.
Well, needless to say by the end of their set. I was exhausted, I was up, #ReadyToGo. Then, I remember oh damn, thats right #DashboardConfessional is playing. #ChrisCarrabas is awesome, I know this. #HighschoolLateNightDriveFlashBacks #Reminiscing that love. I woke up at #NineO'ClockInTheAfternoon. I took a quick #RockinOutShower and headed over to #Bestbuy in Westminister, Colorado. This was the store that I was currently #Employed at. I came in, did not say hi to #Anyone and went straight to the compact disc section, aka #CD. I looked and looked and NOTHING! I then #BrokeMySilence and talked to one of my friends in media and asked, “What the Fuck was going on? I then asked him to go to the back of the store, which I would have done myself but I was #OffDuty, so that was a #NoNo. #MaybeTheyDidNotPutThemOutYet
He then came back and was like dude, “Their not here! Are you sure on the release date? AM I SURE?! Fuck yah I am Sure! This is one of MY FAVORITE BANDS! He was like, “Dude. Calm Down. Okay, well you can go to #CircuitCity and check there. Well shit, I said. #CircuitCity doesn't open for another half an hour!”
#MillennialKiddos #CircuitCity was a place that was overpriced and tried to compete with the likes of #BestBuy and fucking lost every time. The only good sales they had were when they were #GoingOutOfBusiness and even then it was like shit I could get this online at #NewEgg for less.
To #KillSomeTime, I went to a gas station and got some #ChocolateMilk. I don't really eat breakfast so, that was the only thing that sounded good. Well #CircuitCity opened. I raced in and looked and looked, and nothing! #NotThisAgain #WhereAmiDrivingNow?!
I then found a representative which refereed me to not one, but three other ones and at that point asking for #BrandNew's #NewAlbum #TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideOfMe, became a #RedundantTongueTwister. I was going insane for a little while. Thinking why the fuck is it so hard to find this?! Do I need to drive to Denver, cause I will!
Then this #Beautiful girl found me. She was dubbed the #AwesomenessGoddessOfMyFuckingNightmareMorning! I gave her $5 for helping me. I #DeadSprint to the checkout counter, and purchase my what I thought to myself. An album #Br&New released early for me, because my birthday was in #SixDays. Haha, the things we make up in our head about #Artists. #AWeirdParallel UniverseThatWeSortOfNeed

When I listened to #Jesus, it was like nothing I had ever heard before. Not just from #Br&New but, from any artist. It was all too #FuckingReal, it made me question my #Faith and the album title started to make more and more sense. I was #PatientlyAnticipating the #DevilSide of this album, and the lyrics that would accompany that particular part of the album.
The clash of #Christianity #TheDespair #TheStruggle that can happen when you feel #Guilty for doing wrong against the Religion you were #Taught #Believed. You could feel their pain. #ItWasFuckingIntense #ThatProgression #Damn #OneOfTheSongsiHadToRepeat #WhoAmiKiddingiDidItAlot
I #TearedUpAgain and I don't even know why. #Limousine played, and without knowing anything about that song, and the meaning behind it. It was so #Somber and I had guessed it had to do with a car crash with drinking, maybe it was a friend.

What. The. Fuck Was. That? I know what you're thinking, because I was thinking the same fucking thing, #WeAllWere. The opening of the album? #OnLifesHighway #OperaSermonCreepiness yes, yes it was. It was something very out of the ordinary and that was The #Genius of #Br&New. This album is #NOTHING like any of the other albums! It seriously, is #BlackNWhite. I was imagining that #ConcertIntroduction with the opera, their grabbing their guitars, maybe some fog is pumped onto the stage, and then that place just #BoomFuckingExplodes #AllYourDreamsAndCreepyHorror-NessErupts
Its so #FuckingRaw, and I will convey that to whomever. That is what I love about this album. I explained this to a kid at church. Had about an hour long conversation and then he said he stopped on #Daisy. I then said, “Wait you mean to tell me after all of these awesome stories we just passed onto each other, you stopped?! I then, began to explain to him how, yes it is entirely different. #JesseLacey took a step back and let the other band members do the writing. They have every right to do this, it was their #FourthOne. #IMO, it technically followed the #ExperimentalAlbum #FuckItLetsDoIt timeline of a artists releasing studio albums.
Being a #Lyricists, this album threw me through a loop. Maybe, it was because #Jesse took a step back, but man, it took me a second to #ReallyUnderstand this album. If you go back and #Listen to it, and I mean #ReallyListen to how #FuckingCrazyAwesomeIntriguing these lyrics are... I'll start out with the first song that was released through the newly rising dawn of the #DigitalAgeFormatOfMusic. #AtTheBottom

#Daisy. Well, the album titled track, its something else. It is pretty #Depressing, but its something that needs to be heard, you know. Its something that makes you take a look at yourself, your situation and for me, how low can one get? But, why would I want to be down there? I've been there, it fucking sucks, but it takes you back. Back, to the #Times that just made you want to #GiveUp, but then there is #Hope, it won't be a walk in the park, It #Will take #Time, as most things do.

Damn, that song, it just makes me think. It makes me think a lot, the little child in it speaking, made me freaked out at the beginning, but then it made me remember that being a child was the shit! If I knew what I knew now I would have cherished those moments a lot longer, made something of my childhood. You start to understand #Arguments #Fights #Dreams #Pain #Sorrow #Love #Loss #HeartBreak #Joy and finally #Death then #DeathOfAParent, which luckily I have not had yet, but I have had a #BrotherTakeHisLife.
Its just an amazing #ExperimentalAlbum which, they took a huge gamble on, but if you loved it or hated it, you still understood their intentions to a degree, but it would not stop your #Love for this a dedicated #CultFollowing.

For me the concert for Br&New started long ago in my head, as I heard about the announcement. They were playing something new. What was it? I had no idea, but I was rocking out. Not a lot of people around me were. I later found out that the song was #Mene! It released #ThreeDaysLater. I'd pick out the lyric I knew, so I Just screamed #WeDontFeelAnything!
The song started off as some sort of #CreepyBallad and then it turns to something you would never had #EVEREVEREXPECTED for a transition to #Sink. It blew me away, again, but this time #MoreEmotionPassionPain was being projected.
It fucking erupted the crowd, and if I was in my younger days I would have #RushedThat #MoshedThat #ScreamedThat, well I did the last part. I sort of have something called a #KidneyTransplantiHaveToWorryAboutGettingPunched #YouKnowPossiblyHemorrhagingToDeath. Even though I love them, and I do, I always run in for like #TwoCircles and then #DevOut. Not at all saying that there is a possibility of you #Not getting fucked up. Was it one of my favorite concerts? Yes it was, I had an amazing experience. Why? Probably, because I knew that I was going to become #Split from my friends. I would have to make #TemporaryConcertFriends, which is easy because, you are #ALLONE. It should be that way, luckily there were not that many #Douchebags in the pit, but, I wasn't jumping in. I was experiencing it in a #ContinuingDocumentation for myself and for #LiquideSessiøns. I Love all of these bands in these chapters and #Br&New took the spot for number #One.
