It was a cold day, I was downstairs in the our #BlueSpringsMissouriHouse #MySisterAnaleesRoom Dubbed #TheListeningRoom. My brother Jay and I were down there one day, #AfterSchool, He didn't even say one word. He walked into Analee's room. #Ejected #Nevermind out of Analee's #CDPlayer and he said, “This band is going places, they are going to #FuckingExplode. Well he didn't really say that, but the way he was more passionate about this artist, more than any of the other artists that he showed me.
I was in the door way and he extended his hand and he said, “here, don't let mom see it.” I began to look at the cover. Mind you I was #Seven at the time. The first question I asked was, “Why was there a naked baby on the cover, and asked if he survived.” Jay then said, “I don't know, just go listen to it and don't let mom see it.” He was always very adamant about #NotLettingMomSeeIt, and for a good reason. My mom always thought that the music my brothers listened to turned them out to be bad kids. #ItsFromTheDevil. Lol. Same reason she hated #MTv.

Speaking of #MTv, I remember watching my #FavoriteSong #CoverOf #LakeOfFire #OriginallyMeatPuppets on #MTvUnplugged1993 #YTC999,362. To this day, I still love to watch that session.
That particular song was one that I had a lot of questions about when I was about ready to turn #Nine.
#WhereDoTheBadFolksGoWhenTheyDieTheyDontGoToHeavenWhereTheAngelsFlyTheyGoToTheLakeOfFireAndFryWontSeeThemAgainTilTheFourthOfJuly.
I was sad because, they came out on the Fourth of July which, is one of my #MostFavoriteHolidays. From, then on, I often looked for weird spirits dancing around on that holiday. I think thats also when my obsession for #ShortFilms came into play. Like #BlairWitchShitBeforeBlairWitch
At that age, learning about #HeavenAndHell at #Church, and how much that song made a ton of sense. So much so that, Haha #OhSnapADilla #DeepReminicingJustHappened. I was in church on Sunday and I was in #Valiant9 class, which was a class for EightToTenYearOlds learning about #HeavenAndHell in #MormonCulture.
I then asked my teacher if #BadSpiritsDancedAroundLakesOnTheFourthOfJuly. He then asked me why would I think that. I then stated, Well thats what #KurtCobain said. #WhereDoTheBadFolksGoWhenTheyDieTheyDontGoToHeavenWhereTheAngelsFlyTheyGoToTheLakeOfFireAndFryWontSeeThemAgainTilTheFourthOfJuly. He then told my parents, and I then had my room searched, and my parents gave Jay his CDs back.
One other very vivid memory of that song. It was a nice humid day. My friend Marc had invited me to go to his cousins house, which was out in the country. That way we could light off all of our #IllegalFireworksOnTheirProperty on the #FourthOfJuly in, I think 2005. We pulled up in Marc's #NinetyThreeFivePointOWhiteMustangConvertible. I'm like #Damn this #IS a big house.
We then go into the kitchen, Marc's family introduces me and then we walk into the backyard. A nice pool with a slide and diving board. His cousin is maybe 80 yards away next to this #HugePond. I then am introduced to him and his friends that he had over.
The whole time, Im checking out the fireworks everywhere, and In my head I am thinking. Holy Shit! We could totally make this pond on fire, and then it would be like, omg , ok ask Marc to ask his cousin. He did and told him the reason behind it and he was all for it and thought that was such a #BadAssIdea.
We had time to spare. We tried #Gasoline #ButThereWasNotEnough, among other flammable liquid's to test it before night fall. To our dismay, it did not work.
Little did I know how #PicturePerfect it would be. #DuskHits #Food #AlchyIsKickinIn #Pool #Games #SharpShootinWithGuns, I mean its like a must #Muerica! I was having a blast, I was so ready to do our awesome set up near the #PondOfSoonToBeFire.
The grown-ups are sitting by the pools in the common area, lighting off fireworks, and tending the little kiddos. It hits #Nightfall. We head out to the pond with some flashlights. I have mine off. As I am #Mesmerized by how many fucking #LightningBugs #FireFlies there were compared to our yard. It was beautiful. I then light up my #ElieensDream #CAO #DominicanRepublic #BabyCigar. Tastes wonderful and makes for a great #Punk for fireworks.
Then just like that, it became a #PicturePerfect #GardenStateFeeling having a blast with people I cared about and some I just met. We are also shooting off #15ShotRomanCandels in a circle, then shooting each other of course, #LilKidsWithSparklersRunningAround #MemoryBurnForSure, and let's not forget #LakeOfFire going through your head the entire time. It was an #EpicNight, and yes, I made the #PoolSlideJumpSplashofTwentyOhFiveFuckinTwice.
Anyways, I listened to #NeverMindATon and it #BlewMeAway. #VividMemoryBurn #VMB, I have about this particular album was. When I went to go see one of my friends in #LakeTapawingo, I would have to cut through the park, over the #RailRoadTracks, then cross into an area that was highly patrolled, because of #OurCrew. You could get in huge trouble doing this, but #IDGAF. The #LakeTapawingoPolice #ThePrivateCityInsideACity #DontAskMeIDK. They didn't like kids crossing into their city that way, I guess. It was very Private, and they always asked a lot of questions about stupid shit.
I would hide from them time to time, sometimes they would try and chase me or friends when we would be on the #RRTracks. We would just run into the woods and they would have no idea where to find us, and wasn't about to jump the fence to chase us. As time went on, we then designated someone as the #LookOutPerson, and then you would just jump to the other side, and hide down the incline that was on either side of the tracks. When, I ventured to these #AdventuresOnMyOwn. #iWouldSing #NirvanaDevMix for one of the longest times. I was almost turning #Nine when #InUtero was released.
Jay told me about one song on there that he wasn't sure he wanted me to listen to. I asked him why, and he said, well you can't ask me what it is about and you #CANNOTSING this song anywhere! I was like okay, and I didn't. That song was #RapeMe. Which, is an #AntiRapeSong, and even though it was an anti-message. #Walmart wanted an edit before a sale would be made, and if it had #ParentalAdvisory they would be bitches and ask a lot of questions too.
Shortly after that album came out. I came home one day from school and I wanted to listen to music and I could not find my brother Jay anywhere for like a couple hours. I then went outside to the backyard. He was pacing in a white tee and ripped jeans. He was smoking a #MarbloRed and I was like, “Hey whats going on. I could tell he was sad, and said #KurtCobain died, he was very #Distraught. I asked what happened and he told me the story, but he had it in his head that #CourtneyLove had something to do with his passing. I had never seen my brother Jay cry at all. Ironically, since then, the last time I saw my brother Jay cry was at the passing of #MyAwesomeBrotherKenny, which he too, took his life as well, with a firearm.

My musical taste was more along the lines of one of my friends at the time, lets call him Jason. He and I liked #RockNRoll a little more than our friends that we hung out with. If we mentioned anything to them they would make fun of us, so we just didn't tell them.
My friends at the time were more into the genres of #Rap #R&B artists like #2Pac #BeastieBoys #MariahCarey #BoyzIIMen #BoneThugsNHarmony #TLC #NotoriousBIG #DrDre #PuffDaddy #Usher #TheRoots #Coolio #ArrestedDevelopment #Outkast #DeLaSoul #Fugees #JayZ #WuTang #MissyElliot #SaltNPepa #AtribeCalledQuest #PublicEnemy #RKelly, you know to name a few.
No, don't get me wrong, I loved all of these artists above as well. I was very well rounded in my youth with music, If loved it, I loved it, and if I did not I would not waste my time on it. Back then, everyone was pumping out awesome music. #ThoseWereTheDays #90sKid
Our friends and I just finished playing some basketball in the park. My buddy Jason was like, “Hey Devin, come over to my place I wanna show you this band.” I was always down to listen to new music.
I was bouncing my basketball from the park up the hill to his house right there on the bend of the road. We went through Jason's garage, stop at the fridge to grab a #Coke #CheckedOutPlayboyCalendar and then went to his room.
I had never been in Jason's new room since he his parents remodeled the basement. I walk in and he is like sit man, so I jumped on his #BlackBeanBag. He then said have you heard of the band #FooFighters? I was like, “yeah my brother Jay told me, its the #DummerOfNirvana. Didn't the album just come out today?, I bet my bother has it at home.” He was like well, I went to the mall and got it today. He was like listen to how awesome this song is.
After Jason put on #MonkeyWrench, I had what I know now as a #MusicOrgasm. That #MainRiff to the various #Breakdowns to the #Lyrics #Sound. It was a song that hit #EverySense on my check off list for an #AllTimeClassicSong.
Little did I know that #DaveGrohlsVoiceWouldSerenadeMoreForALifeTime. I believe, most people were surprised that #TheDrummer had such a #PV #PhenomenalVocals, as well as being a #Leader.
I was seriously blown away by that album. I also believe, that is where my love for #ScreamingInSongs became apparent.
I remember watching a ton of #MTvMusicVideos, you know back when their concept was to play #MusicVideosTwentyFourSeven #VJs doing small segments, and updates. #RIPMTv
However, I mention #MTv because, It was not really until then, that bands made #MusicVideos more rapidly. Not only making #HistoryInTelevision, but also a new #PyschologicalPersonalPhenomena.
I could have hated a song that #DisgustsMe and it #TotallySucks, BUT their #MusicVideo makes you understand the artists #POV #Perspective #Opinion #ItsWellDone #Creative OR #Flipit #Catch22. The song could be amazing but their music video makes you wonder #WhatTheFuck. Did.They.Do! at the same time #QuestioningYourLoveForThatSong

It was summertime. I was #Nine #5thGrade. My friends house was in #LakeTapawingo, #TheTownWithinATown, with a decent size lake in the middle of it. Lets, call him Sam. Sam's house needless to say was #FuckinCreepy. Okay, well it was mainly his basement. First of all, to get to the basement you had to take a #VeryTight #GunMetalBlackCircleStairCase down #TwoPointFiveFlights.
Once you made it down to the basement, there was a big screen against the #WestFoundationSide of the house. It was a #HugeTwentySevenInches #EncasedInOakWithSpeakersAtTheBottom.

Sam's house had #MassiveWindows #WindowWallsReally. I would guess around #15x12ft, about three of them. In the corner there was a #HalfHexagonBar in the corner, with #OneTap #Fridge #IceMachine a #PoolTableBackLeft. The scariest part was the #Hallway. It was long, and dark. Some what like a mini #FuckingHotel #4RoomsEachSide #DecentSizeLaundryRoom #OnTheRight.

I remember always checking his staircase to make sure no dead people were coming to get me, as well as looking behind me at those windows. NOT A GOOD IDEA! I can't remember how many time someone was like dude, I totally just saw someone or #WellIHeardSomething #PineappleExpressStyle
The crazy thing was that, it started to #Storm for about #TwentyMinutes. # PerfectTiming. We took a break to stretch and get a drink. We all screamed at the top of our lungs, so much that his grandma came down and asked if we were ok. She calmed us down, but someone was determined to find who it was. I was one of the lasts ones to head out, because I needed something to calm me down before I was going to look for a #FuckingGhost. See back then, I was a huge follower, and gave in to #EveryPeerPressure to be accepted. I had developed a horrible habit of, no joke, smoking #TwoToThreePacksADay for about 4 months. I then tapered off a lot, but I was #AHUGEChainSmoker til I was about #Thirteen. I know what your thinking. #WhereTheFuckWasDARE. Well... it was not around yet. #YouCouldGetAddicted #CantHardlyWaitStyle, #iDid.
I grabbed my smokes #Basic #iKnowCrap #TheOnlyOnesICouldStealEasily #MarblosWereSpecialOcassions. It was dark, I only had a pack. I ran outside in the front near a huge Pinetree and looked up there. We only had one flashlight and so no one was that anxious. We all went down the street to a house around the bend, and then came back. We all thought we heard something, and fucking ran. I can compare it to #PineappleExpressForestScene but with five people. We trip the fuck over ourselves like the whole way back to his house.
I was freaking out so bad, I had sucked down a whole pack within the #HourSearch for whoever was at that damn window! Yes we, looked a whole hour.
Four: #DaresOnlyNoTruths: I was dared to go into the laundry room that night. It was completely dark, it wasn't like they gave me a flashlight, and no we didn't have #SmartPhones did you really just think that? #Dumbasses. Once, I hit the half way point, #SecondRoomDoor on the right. #IFreaked-The-Fuck-Out! I swear I almost cried #FuckinJustGotTheGoosbumps. I heard one the fucking #DoorHandlesJiggle like someone was trying to open it! #HatingLivingAloneRightNow. #CheckingAllAroundMe.
I then whispered to my friend Sam to come join me. He asked why I was whipering. “I just... heard this door handle jiggle. Guess what his first statement was? If you guessed, #FuckYou. You would be correct!
I told them, I wasn't going to do it. Of course they called me a #PussyBitch. Which, I did not give a fuck because I knew what I heard. Being a good friend. Sam came to my aide. I think I might have hugged him, and #YahWeHeldHands, if you think #Gay, you obviously have never been #ScaredIntoHoldingAnotherGuysHand
We crept towards the #LaundryRoom. Right when we got to it, we both looked at each other and Sam said, #GoIn. I let go of his hand, #PissedMyPants and went in. No, I didn't, but I wanted to. I went in first as it was #MyDare. I didn't see anything bc why? Well I #JustLookedAtTheGround, Sam whispered, #WatchOUT! #BOOM. I hit this stupid #WireClothesRack, it obviously scared the shit out of everyone there. As I was looking around to see what I hit, my flashlight shined upon the whole room.
I saw the #CreepiestFuckingLaundryRoomOFMYLIFE. The only way I could explain it would be a #HostelMovie room. It had a washer and dyer. They had black streaks running down them. The dryer was open, and then one of scariest #Sinks. It was old and looked rusted, with a hanging hose #AllInFiveSeconds. That room did not look like any #LaundryRoom I have seen to this day.

I was almost #Sixteen, but I had my learners permit, so I could drive until 9PM. My Dad worked out a schedule to let me use my sisters car on those days. I was currently working at #ZiosItalianKitchen #IndependenceMissouri. I had the dinner shift, so I was supposed to clock in at 4:30PM #TuesdayNovemberSecondNineteenNinteyNine #LookAlliterationInAWay.
The restaurant was in a convenient location, as it was in close #Proximity to the #IndependenceMall.
I developed this #AwesomeHabit of going to work pretty early on #AlbumReleaseDay. Especially, if it was one of my #FavoriteArtists. I would then proceed to #CallInFood #WorkToGo. I knew the #RecordStore was on the top level on the right side in the mall. I would then #ClockThatShitInFifteenSeconds from car to store. #FullSprint.
I would then look under #NewReleases #PurchaseAlbum. Sprint back to my car and run into my work. Boom! #ToGoAtFiftyPercentOff #AhhTankYou #SprintToCar #BackLeftParkingSpot #FuckingCrankItToEleven #AsIRockedOutWhileEatingInMyCar #ASightToSeeFoSho.
I also developed listening to the new releases in the order of #FirstFifthSixthSeventhLastSong. For what reason I'm not sure. I just felt like some of the best songs were within that #Parameter.
I opened up the album trying not looking at the album art work, because then I would have been sucked in by this #FuckingAmazingAlbum. One thing I remember that I thought was #BadAss was the #AwesomeFFTattoo and I wanted to put it on numerous times as I listened to it and to this day I still do, but won't. #MintCondition #LoveForArtists.

.. Foo Fighters 3D! Yah... Uhh b jealous.. ;) .. So glad I checked the site last night.. Would have missed out on a nation wide event.. Pretty cool how they are doing this.. :)
Just like Dave in the beginning. I have always imagined being like, “Oh hey our singers voice is all fucked up so can someone come up and sing?” #iAlwaysFantasizedAboutAsWell.
I remember shedding a couple tears when Dave told Kurt. “Hey, I Don't want you to die.” Sometimes you forget that #Celebrities are human like us, some don't seem like it, but #LifeGetsFuckinReal.
When he said I didn't know how to feel, it got personal for me with remembering my brother #Kenny taking his life as well. #ThePeopleNextToMe kept looking at me, like I was crazy. I remember getting into #SunnyDayRealEstate a little later, I then set back and let all the information soak in. I remember being so jealous about all the fans at the #WembleyStadium #TwoThousandEight concert. That would be too #Surreal #SoBeautiful #ThatIsMusicUnitingThousands #ItsEmotional.
They then did #WastingLight on #Tape #FuckingTape #Analog #NoFuckUps. It was seriously one of the coolest things seeing it in #3D. One of the best show I have seen #EverInATheater, plus they played a set #Live in this awesome #TunnelFocalPointWay.
Like the Collaborations with #Bassist #KrisNovoselic #Nirvana its sorta like #PatSmear, said a #NoBrainer in a way. But, timing is everything too, #WhoKnows #ItWasBadAss

That is how #MyDay, no. #WholeLife was, and it was #FinallyFuckingHappening. I went to go eat with a friend at #PandaExpress and this was my fortune on #ConcertDay #10/11/11.
What this meant to me at that time was:
When someone says that you can't do
something, its a natural reaction to want to
prove them wrong. My first fuel was in #WinterOfTwentyOhSeven. I was in #CulinarySchool #ArtInstituteOfSaltLakeCityUtah.
Their were classmates that told me I was dreaming too big, and it would never happen.
*Side note: I changed their fucking minds by my #CulinaryCapstone. #ThatsADifferentStory.
At the time I was trying to push #LiquideAir through different avenues. I had failed, numerous times. So, I mentioned it here and there, but then kept it #FuckingHushed. Why? Someone who had money pretty much stole a huge chunk of the concept, and also the named it #Air, which #FuckingPissedMeOff to no end. So, I learned to #ShutTheFuckUpAboutIt.
If someone asked about it, I was very vague on what I had to say, unless I trusted them, until I got it copyrighted.
During the concert I had so many #NewIdeas. My mind would, and will continue to do this forever. After I had thought of the concept for #LiquideAir. Every waking breath has seriously had THIS concept in mind. Especially during concerts. I would look at everything from the point of view of conception of an artists album to #TourAnnounced #ArtistWebsite #SocialMediaPlatform #Marketing #Bundles you name it.
Once this, #Concert/FestivalDay was #UponMeSoGloriously. It was a nice sunny day. Once, we walked up the stairs of the #TheMaverickCenter. We came upon a medium crowd. I thought to myself, do these people not know how fucking crazy this is going to be, and they are going to miss #CageTheElephant! Well, yeah we went early, still though #NoEXCUSES!!!
One thing that did not make sense to me was that this concert was being held in such a small venue. It only holds #TwelveThousandSixHundred. I thought they would have been in at least been at the #EnergySolutionsArena #SLC #NineteenThousandNineHundredEleven. I don't believe that ther was another event going on that night. There may have been. All and all it was nice, because it was a smaller venue. More intimate which, don't get me wrong. I would ALWAYS CHOOSE that, but as a respect for me it was #TheFoo #DaveGrohl, come on Utah #GetYoShitTogether!
It was a decently warm day for being at the beginning of October. My friend #JJ picked me up at my house and we met his Uncle Jason, at #RedRobin before the show. We three, had arrived early than Jason's other buddy.
We sat down, and I was like dude, I can't believe this is happening. I then began to freak out a lil bit lol. JJ was like its #TwoHours before the show! Calm Down! We had not even touched the arena. It was seriously this bad. I had only ate at that #PandaExpress.

Jason's friend had arrived and I got my #Usual #WhiskeyRiverBurger #LoveIt #iWasHungry. The only way I could explain this feeling, would be, I was so nervous it would be like if you were #CliffJumping on like a #SixtyPlusFootFreeFall. It was that little weird knot you have in your stomach right before you jump, but you know … for #Hours.
I only had #ThreeBites of my burger. Jason, was like damn man, I have never see you this nervous in any of the concert we had gone together to. I responded, #iKNOW!!! Its like nothing I had ever felt. JJ's uncle was awesome. He hooked us up with a lot of tickets and cool shit. Thats later in a different #ArtistChapter. #30STM
By the amount of people NOT there yet, or just lounging around near the bottom of the stairs up to the venue line. It was as if each and every single one of those #MotherFuckers drove. It took awhile to find a parking spot.
We parted ways with Jason and his friend. We had #GABitches, so we had different line. We stepped into the venue, my eyes and whole body do a #ThreeSixty as I'm just taking everything in. We arrive to the floor and we had to decide #StageLeftOrRight. We decided #StageRight, I feel like #ArtistTend to gravitate that way more often.
We found a spot up near the middle of the #Catwalk, maybe #TwoRowsBackFromTheBarrier. #CageTheElephant took the stage! I was excited as hell to see them as well. They put on a #PhenomenalSet. Dave, even decided to come out and drum #EveryFuckingSong!
They could not have picked a better four songs to start things off.

My favorite song though was the #FirstSong I heard from them, which was #AintNoRestForTheWicked. What a #FuckingPhenomenalSong. When I say that I mean #ThroughAndThrough. #InstrumentsVoiceLyrics #SimpleButNot. Its a very true song about the #Recession #Desperation of people at the time coming or still stuck in the #Recession. I remember, hearing on the news people who had never committed any previous crimes, rob people and apologize while doing it. It was an interesting time for humanity.

However, I was upset for selfish reasons as I did not want to write the end of this book, #FooFighters chapter as them #FuckingBreakingUp! Everyone should have a great ending, and I guess this is it for them, but who the fuck knows. I just #Hope #Pray that its not really #Indefinite. I can not see them never, you know, at least doing some sort of reunion.
